My 2 years at Montfort, have been life altering. At 43, I had decided to come back to full-time college, to pursue counselling psychology. Coming from different age groups, experiences, backgrounds, careers and graduation courses – the diversity of the class enriched me. The course was a mix of academics, practical, personal therapy, group therapy, supervision, research and internship- a multi-pronged approach to help us delve deeper into ourselves and have hands-on experience. Our professors encouraged classroom discussions, bringing in their experiences and perspectives, adding depth and reality to the learning. Just being part of this course has changed me as a person, giving me insights into myself – which maybe, I would have never had.
