Montfort College Family Counselling Centre is a non-profit organisation. Here we are dedicated to offering individual and family counselling services to individuals and families. We hope to enhance holistic wellness among the individuals and families who come to us, and the community at large through our work.

The centre was set up in 2004, partly supported by the Karnataka State Social Welfare Board, and provides free counselling services to economically disadvantaged communities.

Our services include family counselling, marital counselling, individual counselling/psychotherapy, pre-marital counselling, children counselling, and adolescent counselling.

Areas of counselling include personal growth, resolution of family/marital issues and conflicts, crisis intervention in times of domestic violence, abuse, etc., stress management at home/work, communication and relationship skills, modification of dysfunctional beliefs and behaviour patterns, utilization of personal resources for a healthy family life, parenting skills and guidance, and enhancing coping skills to meet life’s challenges.

The centre also engages in community counselling, family mediation, and community-based research. In collaboration with other NGOs, the FCC also organises outreach and awareness programmes to benefit lower socio-economic communities.
