Assistant Professor

Apeksha is a neurodivergent, neuro-queer person. She is a trauma informed,
queer affirmative therapist and works with clients living with grief, trauma,
neurodiversity, abuse / violence, crisis narratives, interpersonal / relational
difficulties, family or marital concerns, anxiety, depression, psychological
distress and other mental health concerns.
She follows a relational approach in therapy, through a feminist and humanistic
lens and her inclinations are towards Gestalt therapy, Body work, Mindfulness
and Self-compassion based practices.
Apart from therapy work she conducts workshops and webinars on topics
related to mental health, sexuality counselling, and other topics related to the
importance of mental health. She also has experience of running a listening
circle and teaching. She has been a part of Instagram live videos and other public
platforms to have conversations around queerness in the art community,
neurodiversity and mental health and also has experience of running a listening
circle and teaching. She is also a mentor at International Centre for Peace
Psychology, Kashmir, for gender, sexuality and queer affirmative practices. She is one of the Supervisors for Practicum at MIAS.
